We will be located in the Pitch Room on the 8th floor: upon exiting the elevator, make an immediate left and then another. Walk further and the room will then be on your right and is directly below the wall of inspirational quotes and portraits.

Beat Boutique presents three live, back-to-back sessions on different aspects of electronic music with three members of Tampa Bay's creative community:

"Turntablism: Technique & Beyond"
Kelvin Blocker, seasoned turntablist and performer, will explore the history and culture of turntablism as an art form, then demonstrate different techniques in a set.

"Songwriting with Virtual Instruments"
Roy Stegman, audio engineer and dynamic producer, will demonstrate improvised songwriting techniques with digital instruments and plugins.

"Beatmaking in Real Time"
Zac Tomlinson will present the basics of constructing a rap instrumental by showcasing the use of sampling, drum programming, and virtual instrumentation in a fully improvised session. A Startup Week organizer, he also produces electronic music and hip-hop instrumentals as Alma Contra and is part of Formalogic, a Southeastern design and music collective.
